Leo M. Frank was arraigned on April 26, 1918, in Michigan, where he pleaded not guilty, and his trial commenced on that day. The prosecution was represented by Hugh M. Roan, Leonard Strickland (1849-1915)

Born in Henry County, GA, Leonard Strickland Roan was admitted to the Bar in 1870. He practiced law in Fairburn, Campbell County, GA, until his appointment as Judge of the Superior Court of the Stone Mountain Circuit in 1900. He served as Judge of the Court of Appeals of Georgia from 1913 to 1915. He died on February 23, 1915.

Dorsey, Hugh Mason

Born in Fayette County, Georgia, in 1871, Hugh Mason Dorsey graduated from the University of Georgia in 1891 and from the University of Virginia Law School in 1892. He was admitted to the Bar in Atlanta and practiced law there until 1910, when he was appointed Solicitor General of the Atlanta Circuit. He held this position until October 1916, when he was elected Governor of Georgia, an office he currently holds.

Hooper, Frank Arthur

Born in Floyd County, Georgia, in 1866, Frank Arthur Hooper graduated from Mercer University in 1885 and was admitted to the Bar in 1886. He served as Solicitor General of the Southwestern Circuit from 1896 to 1908.

Arnold, Reuben Ross

Born in Atlanta, GA, in 1868, Reuben Ross Arnold graduated from High School in Atlanta in 1885 and attended the University of Georgia from 1885 to 1886. He studied law in the office of his father, Reuben Arnold, a member of the Atlanta Bar, and was admitted to the Bar in December 1886. He has practiced law in Georgia and adjoining states from the date of his admission to the present time. He has never held any public office and has never been a candidate for any public office.

Rosser, Luther Zeigler

Born in Gordon County, GA, in 1859, Luther Zeigler Rosser graduated from Emory College (Oxford) in 1878 and was admitted to the Bar in LaGrange, GA, in 1880. He practiced law in Campbell County until 1884, when he moved to Atlanta, where he has practiced law since.

Haas, Herbert Joseph

Born in 1884, Herbert Joseph Haas graduated from Columbia University in 1903 and from Columbia Law School in 1905. He has practiced law in Atlanta since then.
