Hearing for New Trial
for Leo
M. Frank Will
Probably Be
Concluded on
Wednesday
Morning.
Attorney Reuben Arnold, associate counsel for the defense of
Leo Frank, who is making a masterful argument for a new trial for
his client, was asked shortly after the adjournment of his speech
Saturday, if he had any idea of the time he would finish:
Not the slightest, he answered smilingly. I've just started
good.
From which is drawn the conclusion that he will occupy a
large part of today in his speech. At the conclusion, Attorney
Frank Hooper, who assisted Solicitor Dorsey in Frank's
prosecution, will make the first speech for the state. Hooper's
address, it is predicted, will take at least a day.
Following him will be Dorsey. The final argument will be
submitted by Attorney Rosser, who, it is said, will occupy probably
as much time as his colleague, Colonel Arnold. Only four speeches
will be delivered.
It is predicted that the hearing will not close until either
Tuesday night or Wednesday morning.
