PAGE 5, COLUMN 3.

Speculation on whether or not the hearing of argument for a new trial for Leo M. Frank, convicted of the murder of little Mary Phagan, which is set for Saturday, will be heard, is now rife among courthouse officials.

In case the hearing comes up then, Judge L. S. Roan, who presided at the trial in August, will have charge of the hearing, is the general opinion. Whether or not the case will come up on that date, however, is unknown. Solicitor Hugh Dorsey is doing all he can to be prepared to answer whatever arguments will be brought up and the defense is quietly working on its plan. Whether either side will ask a postponement is at present unannounced.
